A SPECIAL TALENT

FOR SPECIALTY PROJECTS.

Always anticipating the next big thing.

THE MORE THE CHALLENGE, THE MORE THE JUICE GETS FLOWING.

FROM INFORMATION TO RESTORATION TO SUBSTATIONS.

Good growth leads to great opportunities for engineering specialties. The information age connects more people (when we help supply greater storage); restoring power helps limit downtime (because we act fast and efficiently); and increasing voltage results in lower costs and greater reliability (once we do the upgrade for you).

Hilscher-Clarke offers a wide variety of engineering specialties — from installing systems at large, state-of-the-art data centers; to safely and effectively restoring power to the largest industrial/commercial facilities; to upgrading a low voltage capacity to medium voltage and substations.

We’re with you from start to finish, employing a team approach to all aspects of your projects, taking you through analysis and testing, together with our fabrication and design/build capabilities.

Emergency Services

Fire or flood damage can be devastating. The sense of loss and the shock of “Where do we go from here?” numbs homeowners and business owners alike.

The damage itself is bad enough, but business owners and managers also must get operations up as quickly as possible. Downtime is deadly, which means power needs to be restored as soon as humanly possible.

Hilscher-Clarke specializes in safely and effectively restoring electrical systems in the largest industrial/commercial facilities. This limits downtime, because our team of engineers, project managers and field experts are trained for responsiveness and efficiency in a variety of engineering specialties.

First, they study and evaluate the situation. Second, they quickly devise a restoration plan. And third, they execute that plan towards a swift resolution. We have the fundamental capability to expeditiously mobilize sufficient manpower to get equipment and materials on-site faster. Our certified technicians also conduct advanced electrical commissioning services. That way, equipment runs both safely and reliably when the electrical system is restored the Hilscher-Clarke way.

Good growth is the kind where you outgrow your low voltage capacity due to business success. You expand, and so do your power needs. That’s a good problem, particularly since Hilscher-Clarke can solve it by installing your own substation and upgrade your facility from low to medium voltage. Better still, our team joins yours all the way from the initial electrical service system design recommendation through final installation and commencing operation for a seamless design/build process.

In addition to producing appropriate growth for your future infrastructure needs, adding your own substation has several other benefits:

  • Save Money — By taking responsibility for a higher voltage feed, you could save up to 30% on your power bill each month, resulting in a complete return on investment in 1-3 years.
  • Increase Reliability — Subtransmission power is a more reliable source of electricity. Since power companies make great efforts to protect higher voltage lines, power outages are extremely rare.
  • Gain Independence and Control — By controlling the power that enters your facility, you’ll no longer be reliant on the power company to resolve issues of dirty power, voltage drop and phase loss.
  • Correct Power Factor — By installing a capacitor bank with your new substation, you can correct your power factor for the entire facility. This eliminates any additional charges you may currently be incurring from the power company.

Let your Hilscher-Clarke team become your comprehensive design/build resource for a turn-key approach, which means we take responsibility for everything. Here’s how the basics work:

First, we calculate your electricity usage. Next, we meet with your power company to plan the substation installation. Then, we provide a detailed quote. Finally, we get to work from construction to completion, with the ultimate aim to give you more juice for your facility.
